A case of Reactive Perforating Collangenosis completely recovered in 4 months.

Mrs. S. K. S., 66 years old house wife (Patient Identification Number - 18698) visited our clinic on 27th March 2012 accompanied with her husband. She had lesions on lower legs which were spreading since 10 days. She had severe itching all over her body. She had swelling on the legs. The lesions were partially healed with antibiotics. She had been investigated for all the possible disease. The biopsy confirmed it as Reactive Perforating Collangenosis. She had been applying cortisone ointments and creams with mild relief.
BeforeAfter
She was suffering from Diabetes since 20 years and was taking conventional treatment. She was also suffering from high blood pressure since 20 years and it was under control with conventional medicines. Her diet was mixed. She had an average appetite. She disliked sweets. She was obese. She was sensitive to warm climate. There were no complaints in bowel, urine, thirst or perspiration. Her sleep was sound. She was a home maker. Her husband was a retired executive. She had 2 sons and 1 daughter. The elder son was a software engineer in US. The younger son was an MBA, he was into international sales and had to tour all over the world. The daughter was married and settled. The daughter in law stayed with them with 2 grandchildren. She was nervous and sensitive by nature. She was also worried related to her family matters. She would think that if she discussed her complaints with everybody they will get tensed and disturbed. Her father suffered from heart attack and high blood pressure. Her brother was suffering from diabetes. Her case was studied in detail by Dr. Shah and she was prescribed research based medicines. She visited on 9th May with significant relief in itching. The lesions were drying up and healing. The spread had stopped. The swelling on the legs had reduced. The rashes all over body were improving. Her medicines were continued. She stated 80 % recovery. She later visited after 1 year on 18th April for her daughter in law. She was glad to inform us the improvement in her Reactive Perforating Collangenosis in 4 months time. She had to urgently go to the US and so she did not continue her treatment. She stated that by just 4 months treatment, she had recovered completely. She had brought her daughter in law for treatment today. She expressed her deep gratitude. Uploaded by Dr. M. N. P on 20th April 2013
