    Extensive Lichen Planus Treated Successfully In 6 Months With Homeopathy At Life Force

    A 65-years-old lady, Mrs. M.H.M. (PIN 32902) consulted at Life Force for lichen planus on the 24th July 2017. She had developed multiple small-sized, hyperpigmented spherical eruptions scattered on her legs, hands, abdomen, back, hips, scalp, and forehead. Nine years back, after taking allopathic medicine, she was relieved of this disease, but it relapsed in 2017. Her disease was progressing rapidly since a few months. In her spots, severe itching was present. The itching was so intense that patient couldn’t stop scratching. She was not taking any medicine since one week. Besides this, she was also suffering from diabetes -mellitus.

    She had a fair skin and was of average build. She was vegetarian by diet. She desired spicy and salty food. Her thirst and perspiration were average. Her bowel movements were regular. Her sleep was disturbed due to itching. She was sensitive to the hot weather. 

    She was running the business of general insurance. Her husband had the business of pollution control. She had three daughters, one was a divorcee, the second was married, and the third was unmarried.

    She had suffered from jaundice in her past medical history. In her family, her father was suffering from CA of the esophagus. Her mother was diabetic. Her maternal grandmother was diabetic. Her brother was also diabetic. Her sister was suffering from liver cirrhosis, diabetes, and CA of ovary & Uterus.

    She was a very confident lady. She was very talkative. She was very emotional. She was worried about the future of her daughters.

    Dr. Shah studied her case in detail and she was prescribed research-based molecule.

    On 6th September 2017, when she gave her first follow-up, her complaints had started to show some improvement. Her spots had become dull in colour, but there was no change in her itching.

    After taking medicines for a few months, on 30th November 2017, she gave her follow-up. There was an improvement in her condition by more than 50%. Her itching had also reduced by 50%. A new complaint of joint pain had started since two months. 

    On 16th January 2018, she informed that her condition had improved more than 90%. No new spots had appeared. Her itching and burning were totally cured. All her spots were in control. Only post inflammatory hyper-pigmentation was remaining. The patient was very happy with the result.

    The patient is still continuing the homeopathic treatment from Life Force for further improvement.

    This case study highlights that autoimmune disease like lichen planus, which is very obstinate, can be treated successfully with homeopathy.
