    What is Lichen Planus?

It results due to immunological factors, Stress, certain medications, and trauma are some of the common causes of lichen planus.

Homeopathy is very effective in treating lichen planus. It heals the unpleasant skin condition from within by increasing the immunity of your body.

Let’s have a look at how homeopathy treated a case of lichen planus effectively.

A 55-year-old female, Mrs. V.V (PIN: No 10517) visited Life Force Homeopathy on 27th March 2008 for the treatment of her complaint of Lichen Planus, which was bothering her for 4 years. She had taken conventional treatment for 2 years and had stopped it in the last 2 years because her complaint of Lichen Planus was all cleared and then relapsed in the last 4-5 months. It affected her upper as well as lower limbs, chest, abdomen, and back with itching. Her skin lesions used to bleed after scratching. The lesions were red-purplish and active more on the lower limbs.

After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed research-based homeopathic medicines along with some dietary tips to the patient.

    Follow-Ups:

Her first follow-up was taken on 12th May 2008. Her relief in the complaint was 10% better.

The second follow-up was taken on 22nd July 2008 in which her relief in lichen planus was 10% better as it was in the last follow-up. However, a few new lesions had appeared.

At the third follow-up on 6th November 2008, new lesions had appeared on her hands.

On 13th January 2009, her complaint had reduced by 50%.

In the follow-up taken on 8th May 2009, her relief in the skin complaint was 70% better. Her many lesions had healed, but a few new lesions had appeared.

At the follow-up taken on 13th October 2010, her lichen planus was 95% healed. The patient wanted to continue the treatment further for reducing the hyperpigmentation that was left on her ankle after the lichen planus lesions had health.

In March 2011, her complaint had increased by 50% with severe itching and bleeding after scratching.

In between, the patient all by her had taken a gap in the treatment for 3 months, and her complaints had aggravated and, for a few months, her complaints were stable. On 29th December 2011, the complaint had reduced to 40%. Her lichen planus complaints had increased by 10% on 29th March 2013. It had not changed till 7th May 2014 and decreased by 50% on 19th June 2014.

The patient’s relief in the complaint was getting better. She was experiencing some relapses in between because the patient was on beta-blocker and aspirin and these medicines aggravated the complaint of lichen planus.

On 9th April 2018, the patient’s relief in the complaint was 75% better and was continuously getting better.

On 7th May 2019, the patient’s relief in the complaint was 100% better. Just hyperpigmented marks remained which too were fading day by day

When the recent follow-up was taken on 12th November 2020, the patient was completely better and free from Lichen Planus. Dr. Shah Sir asked her to stop the treatment.

The patient thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for treating her and improving her health. She has successfully recovered so stopped the treatment and is doing well.

Lichen Planus Got 100% Healed At Life Force Homeopathy

    What is Lichen Planus?

Lichen Planus is a chronic autoimmune non-contagious condition affecting the skin and mucous membrane. It causes inflammation of the skin cells, thereby leading to flat purplish skin lesions that are itchy and can cause bleeding after scratching. Immunological factors, stress, certain medications, and trauma are some of the common causes of lichen planus.

Homeopathy is very effective in treating lichen planus. It heals the unpleasant skin condition from within by increasing the immunity of your body.

Let’s have a look at how homeopathy treated a case of lichen planus effectively.

A 13-year-old female, Ms. P.D. (PIN: No 37874) visited Life Force Homeopathy on 5th September 2018 for the treatment of her complaint of Lichen Planus. It was bothering her for 1 year. She is taking conventional treatment for 2 -3 months and has continuously applied the steroid-based ointment for the last 2-3 months. Lichen planus affected her lower limbs, both the thighs, and both her ankles with active lesions on ankles. She was finding itching intolerable. Her skin lesions used to bleed after scratching. The lesions were red-purplish and active more on the lower limbs.

Besides this, the patient was also suffering from a few associated complaints, such as gastritis, constipation, acne, & mood swings during menses. The patient was also having a rare condition of Horseshoe kidney (renal fusion).

The patient used to get angry very often. She was short-tempered and would fight with her younger brother daily. At times, she would beat her younger brother when angry. She didn’t like studies and would turn angry when she was told to study repeatedly. But, academically she was good.

After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed research-based homeopathic medicines along with some dietary tips to the patient.

At the follow-up on 21st August 2019, her complaint of lichen planus had increased. New lesions had appeared. She was experiencing severe itching and bleeding after scratching for the last 20 days, as she had viral fever with cough & cold and was taking antibiotics.

The patient’s relief in the complaint was getting better. She was experiencing some relapses in between because the patient was on beta-blocker and aspirin and these medicines would aggravate her complaint of lichen planus.

On 20th October 2019, both her new and old lesions were stable. Although active lesions were present, they were not increasing.

On 28th December 2019, the patient was improving. Her improvement in recovery from skin lesions continued. Till 13th June 2020, the patient was continuously getting better.
