Consistent reduction of Hep-C viral load with good symptomatic relief

Mr B. S. an elderly gentleman with Hepatitis C advanced pathology, eagerly consulted Dr Shah for treatment. He was recently detected as Hepatitis C positive. He complained of mild, recurrent pain in the abdomen in the right hypochondriac region. The pain was persistent for the last several years. His chief complaint was easy fatigue. He would feel tired easily. He was an alcoholic. His sonography report revealed cirrhosis of liver with portal hypertension.

His viral load for Hepatitis C was 5, 18,783. The platelet count was reduced than the normal range. The count was just 36,000.

Luckily for Mr B.S. there was no evidence of ascitis.

His endoscopy revealed oesophageal varices and he had undergone variceal banding for the same.
He was also detected to be deficient in Vitamin B-12 and Vitamin B-1.
He was also a diabetic.

He was strictly advised to refrain from alcohol.

His case was studied in detail.

He had a marked craving for sweets. Mr B.S. was intolerant to warm weather. He would prefer the cold.

He was a mild person, generally calm but anxious by nature.
He worked in a government organization and on retirement, he looked after his farm.

Dr. Shah studied his case details and the reports. He was prescribed Dr Shah,s research based remedies for Hep-C alongwith Chelidonium 200 C.

The treatment was aimed at reducing the viral load, providing symptomatic relief to the patient which meant reducing the pain and preventing complications.

Viral load dated 13 August 07: 5, 18,783 IU/ml.
Viral load dated 3 rd April 08: 265140 IU/ ml.
Viral load dated 4 December 08: 152825 IU/ml.

In 4 months of treatment, the abdominal pain reduced considerably. His energy levels improved. He felt more active and would not get tired easily as earlier.

In one year of treatment, there was significant reduction in the viral load. Within 8 months, the count reduced from 5, 18,783 IU/ml to 265140 IU/ ml. In next 8 months it further reduced to 152825 IU/ml.

The platelet count remained more or less the same. The platelet count is not likely to go up, he will require further monitoring.

Mr B.S. is under our treatment and we expect further reduction in the viral load.
