Complete cure in a 3 month old baby girl from atopic eczema...
One morning, extremely anxious parents of a 3 month old baby girl Ms. R K ( Pin L-10054) came to Dr Shah. The baby had eczema all over her body. She had it since ten days after birth. The rashes were extensive, had spread all over the body on back, chest, hands and legs.
The child could not keep her hands off and would keep scratching most of the times. There was severe itching. The itching would get worst with application of antiseptics or sanitizers. She could not tolerate wearing diapers. Slightest touch of it would increase the rashes on the buttocks. They had resorted to steroid applications since 15 days, with no relief.
The baby had recurrent vomiting after feeds since 15 days.
Her delivery was a ceasarean section with birth weight of 2.75 kgs.
She was on breastfeeding.
There was a family history of contact dermatitis for her father, asthma, hypertension, diabetes and hypothyroidism on the paternal side.
Dr Shah examined the baby. On the basis of this history, the medicines were prescribed. Dr Shah suggested them to stop with the steroids.
