Wart and its Homeopathic Treatment

Definition of Warts

Warts are actually benign growths of the epidermis caused by a virus. The virus resides in the bottom layer of the epidermis and replicates there. Warts can appear nearly anywhere on the body and they differ in appearance, size, and shape.

Causes:

Viral warts, as the name suggests, are caused by the virus, the most common being the human papillomavirus (HPV) group. There are different sub-types of HPV which cause different types of warts. Like any other viral disease, viral warts are contagious and spread by direct contact.

Viral warts and other wart-like growths:

Viral warts can be confused at times with other skin growths such as skin-tags (benign skin tumor), molluscum contagiosum (growths on the skin which look like white pearls; caused by another group of the virus; often observed in children), moles, birthmarks, lichen planus, etc. A careful look by a trained doctor makes the diagnosis clear.

Treatment of warts:

Warts, in the past and even presently, are often treated locally with the help of some liquid or solution. Some cases are treated by cauterization (burning warts) by skin doctors. All such measures, it has been observed, are temporary; and warts reappear after some time.

Homeopathy Cure for Warts:

Homeopathy treatment for warts offers an excellent and promising cure. The beauty of the treatment is that the medicines are to be taken orally and there is no local application. This treatment, in turn, treats the ailment from within, for a long time and almost permanently.

The course of treatment:

The duration of homeopathic wart treatment varies from patient to patient. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of warts and their chronicity. Approximately, within three months or so, one finds positive results. Warts which are many in number and have existed for more than five years may need a longer course of medication.

Is it safe?

Homeopathic treatment is essentially safe and absolutely harmless, which may be taken along with any other medicine if required.

Are there specific homeopathic remedies for warts?

There are about 25 possible medicines for warts in homeopathy. Every patient with warts may require one of this group of medicines based on his individual symptoms. Only after a detailed case study, the correct remedy can be determined for any patient. Warts are viral in origin. Viral warts are treatable using homeopathy. There is a condition called skin tags which resemble warts. Skin tags are not treatable with homeopathy.

Some common medicines for homeopathy wart treatment are Silica, Thuja Occidentalis, Causticum, Calcaria Carbonica, Nitric acid, Lycopodium clavatum, Antimoniam crude.

Calcaria carbonica: This medicine is sourced from calcium. The patients having warts requiring these homeopathic medicines are likely to be flabby, obese, fat in physical structure. They tend to be lethargic, slow pace (physically), somewhat lazy, and sensitive to cold. They may tend to perspire more than others, and the hands and feet might turn cold due to sweat or anxiety. They tend to be anxious, apprehensive, fearful, and unsecured in life.

Lycopodium clavatum: This is a constitutional homeopathic medicine for patients who may have warts or any chronic disease such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), asthma, skin diseases like psoriasis, eczema, and many more. Typically, Lycopodium individuals are anxious, ambitious, active, motivated, and they look confident. However, they may have some anxiety that may not be visible to outsiders. Anxiety about performance, anxiety before the crowd, before traveling, etc. They may look arrogant but that is not a rule. Some fear such as fear of being alone is often found in them. Strong likes for sweets may be observed. Warts could be on any part of the body, such as the face, fingers, legs, neck, or feet.

What is the cure rate?

A study of over 200 cases of warts at Life Force Center has indicated a success rate of over 85%.

How to consult a homeopathic doctor?

There are homeopathic doctors in many parts of the world, especially in Asia, Europe, Australia, Canada, the U.S.A., Africa. One may make an inquiry with a local homeopathic college or organization requesting a recommendation for a qualified homeopathic practitioner. You might find a list of homeopaths on the internet. However, there are many places, towns, and villages where one may not locate a qualified homeopath.
