46 years old man Mr. XYZ (initials changed) (Patient identification number-20569) visited our clinic on 28th January 2013.He was suffering from genital Herpes for past 18 years. His complaints recurred every 2 months which lasted for about 15 days. Every time he had to take tablet Acyclovir to get relieved. He had painful blisters on his genitals. He had profuse itching along with soreness on his genitals. He experienced burning sensation while urination.

He liked eating non vegetarian food. He preferred warm weather. He had no complaints in perspiration, bowel movements, sleep.

He was working in a private transport company. His family consisted of his wife and two kids. His wife was a home maker and daughter was studying in 2nd standard. His son was 2 years old.

He had harmonious family life. He was fun loving and had no major stress in life. He got irritable due to pain and discomfort of his complaint whenever it recurred.

He had undergone appendectomy 7 years back.

His mother and sister were suffering from under active thyroid.

Dr. Shah prescribed him research based medicines after studying his case in detail.

He came for his first follow up on 11th March 2013. He had one episode of genital herpes in these 6 weeks. That episode of genital herpes had lasted for only a week which previously lasted for 15 days. He had painful blisters. He experienced burning sensation while passing urine. His itching sensation and soreness had improved. He had to take T. acyclovir during recurrence of the episode.

On 11th June 2013 he reported for his second follow up. He was happy to report that his complaints during second recurrence of genital herpes had reduced up to 50%. Recently when he reported on 22nd of August 2013 he had improved considerably. He had no episode since his last follow up. He had no blisters on his genitals.
