Homeopathy Worked Wonders In Treating Oral Lichen Planus

A 40-year-old male patient from Khargar, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, Mr. J.P. (PIN: 19004) contacted Life Force Homeopathy through his internet surfing habit where he found Life Force as a solution for his problems.

He was suffering from burning and soreness and was having white and red-colored lesions inside his cheeks and palate. He was diagnosed with oral lichen planus and was on conventional medicines for the same. But, he didn’t find much relief with conventional medicines.

He was suffering from discomfort for a year and had recurrent oral ulcers with bleeding gums and pus collection in the gums. Owing to his problems, he was too frustrated and had difficulty concentrating on his tasks or anything in his life. He had turned quite aggressive. He was worried about his life and the future a lot. Then, he made up his mind to take treatment from Life Force. His case details were noted down in May 2012.

He was a non-vegetarian with a strong liking for fish, spicy foods, and eggs. He used to consume alcohol once a month. His thirst had reduced, and he was experiencing scanty perspiration. He had a disturbed sleep with anxious dreams. His sleep was disturbed due to burning sensation and soreness in the mouth.

Mr. J.P. was anxious and had a nervous personality. His interpersonal relations with family and in his profession were normal. He was affectionate and couldn't see his family members in pain. He was a computer engineer by profession. He used to work in a drug manufacturing company as a design manager. He used to continuously think something or other with a passion for designing.

He suffered from frequent malaria in the past.

Based on his case details, Dr. Shah prescribed him homeopathic medicines for 6 weeks along with his research-based homeopathic medicines.

Follow-Ups:

When the patient gave a follow-up in August 2012 i.e. 4 months after starting the treatment, there was 25% relief in burning and soreness of lesions.

Every time, based on his feedback, his medicines were changed. He was happy with his slow and steady recovery.

Gradually, he was able to have some spicy food and was satisfied with the ongoing treatment.

In August 2013, he found 80% relief in oral lichen planus and all his other complaints. During the second quarter of 2013, due to professional stress i.e. meeting the deadlines and achieving targets, he observed a slight increase in the lesions. Then, he had a follow-up, and, after receiving the medicines in increased doses, these spikes were controlled with a fast recovery.

After one and a half years of regular treatment, he found 90% of relief in his oral lichen planus. He had no burning sensation and soreness and could enjoy food without any complaints. He then gave a video testimonial mentioning this great recovery and also stated that he started to feel much calmer and that he could very well handle the stressful conditions now without experiencing an aggravation in lichen planus.

Conclusion:

This case highlights that homeopathy is highly effective in treating lichen planus remarkably and safely without any side-effects.
