Extensive case of Lichen planus benefited with online treatment..She said, “The online treatment was wonderful, even though we had not met each other, I felt connected. Just an email or a phone call was sufficient to get a detailed consultation and guidance”.

Mrs. H.R aged 56 years (Patient Identification Number 18100) started with our online treatment on 14 August 2010 for the treatment of Lichen Planus. She was suffering from Lichen Planus since last one year. She was a resident of Durban, South Africa. She was born and brought up in South Africa; however her parents were from India.

Mrs. H.R presented with severe Lichen Planus lesions on her hands, feet, chest, abdomen, buttocks, genitals and mouth. She had active lesions which were rapidly spreading. The lesions involved around 60 percent of the body. The eruptions were reddish brown in appearance associated with severe itching and burning. The peculiarity of the lesions was that they were large and distinct. She did not have the typical small lesions.

She was on oral steroids and was looking for an alternative. She searched the net and came across the Life Force website. She contacted us over the phone and email and sent photos for evaluation. She started the online treatment.

She was a non vegetarian and her appetite was good. She had craving for spicy food and poultry products and had aversion to boiled and bland food. Her urine and bowel habits were normal. Thermally she was tolerant to both cold and warm weather. She had moderate perspiration. Her thirst for water was good.

Her sleep was slightly disturbed due to the itching caused because of LP. Her menstrual cycle was regular. She was averagely built.

She was working as a telesales advertiser for the local newspaper. She was staying with her husband, son and daughter. Her husband was a professor.

She was a very sensitive and sentimental lady. She was losing patience as she had used excess of steroids and that only made the situation worse since she had started gaining unnecessary weight. She was very image conscious and didn’t like the way she was appearing these days. She was conscious about here health and well being. Her main concern was to get rid of the excess weight and the Lichen Planus spots.

She was short tempered by nature. She was reserved, but shared a very close relation with her family. Her family was very receptive to her problems, but being reserved by nature she couldn’t share her anxieties with them.

She was applying steroids locally all the time, however the itching persisted and this made her irritable.

Dr. Rajesh Shah studied her case details and prescribed her a constitutional medicine along with research based medicines. She was sent medicines.

After three and a half months she sent her progress report on 15 December 2010. She reported with good improvement in her Lichen Planus. The LP spots were drying and flattening. She was able to stop the steroids completely without much discomfort. The Lichen Planus had stopped spreading; there were no new spots. Dr Shah was satisfied with the progress. There were no new spots even after stopping the steroids, which was a good sign.

At the 8 months follow up (4 may 2011): Mrs. H.R reported 70 % improvement in her Lichen Planus. The itching and burning sensation was much less. There were no new spots.

On 31 January 2012 Mrs. H.R visited the clinic in Mumbai, India, personally and reported that she was totally cured of her Lichen Planus. There was significant improvement in her Lichen Planus. No new LP spots, there was good improvement in her spots on the hands, neck and face. There were no active lesions and only the hyper pigmented marks were left. The marks were also appearing lighter. There was no itching and burning. She also reported with change in her mood, feeling more lively and comfortable about her appearance as now the marks were fading away.

She expressed her deep gratitude for the wonderful recovery. She said, “The online treatment was wonderful, even though we had not met each other, I felt connected. Just an email or a phone call was sufficient to get a detailed consultation and guidance”.
